Mentor Information

Thank you for your interest in the UNSW Career Discovery Mentoring Program.
Mentoring has the transformative power to shape a student’s life for the better and this is your chance to make further impact in a student’s journey to employment.
Mentors have a rewarding opportunity to further develop skills, reflect on career progression, achievements, and engage with the UNSW community.
This program involves 5 hours of mentoring which can be delivered flexibly (in person or online).
If you have a minimum of 2 years of professional experience and believe that you can offer a student a valuable mentoring opportunity, we would love you to join the program!

Your role as a mentor

The role of a mentor is to guide your mentee and to help shape their career path. Throughout your relationship, you have the flexibility of conducting your meetings in person or online.
You will act as a role model to your mentee and provide wisdom and insight as well as constructive feedback and suggestions for action in order for your mentee to construct a career road-map.
Your time commitment:

  • Five hours of online or in-person mentoring sessions between Monday 27 May to Friday 5 July 2024.
  • Program feedback survey
