Mentor Information

Thank you for your interest in the 2020 UNSW Career Ready Mentoring Program.

This 12 week program, which includes 5 mentoring sessions that can be delivered 100% online, provides the opportunity for established alumni and industry professionals to support a student during their transition from study to work.
Mentors have a rewarding opportunity to further develop skills, reflect on career progression, achievements, and engage with the UNSW community.

Your role as a mentor

The role of a mentor is to guide your mentee and to help shape their career path. Throughout your relationship, you have the flexibility of conducting your meetings face to face, by video (such as Skype or Zoom) or by phone.
You will act as a role model to your mentee and provide wisdom and insight as well as constructive criticism and suggestions for action in order for your mentee to construct a career road-map.

Your time commitment:

  • Five online or face-face mentoring sessions over a 12 week program from June to August - minimum total of five hours
  • End-of-program celebration event (if available)
  • Program feedback survey
